Obviously our friend Mr. Moen is not familiar with the following quote from a certain long-haired rabble-rouser of historic note:

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

But hey...what did he know. It's not like he was Hugh Hewitt or something...
