After a long, dry spell, I've recently received a number of inquiries from radio stations expressing interest in discussing "future employment possibilities." The latest, from a market in the Northwest, came Friday. Economically speaking, the worst may indeed be over, if this is any indication. Wish me luck - I'll keep you posted.

Sad to report John E. Carter of the Dells has passed on. Stylistically, the Dells were the "missing link" twixt doo-wop and Chicago soul. These guys were true groundbreakers.
